The Franklin Township Board of Trustees and Administration continue to closely monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in coordination with Warren County Combined Health District, State of Ohio, and Centers for Disease Control.

Based on Governor Mike DeWine’s recent press conferences and the directives given therein in regards to re-opening Ohio, Monday, May 18, 2020 the following changes will take place:

All riders of the Franklin Township Senior Transportation vehicles will be required to wear masks and submit to having their temperature taken. This is due to the enclosed space and the close physical contact our drivers often have with riders while helping them onto and off of the vehicle. Any rider with a temperature over 100°  will not be permitted to ride. Drivers will be subject to the same criteria for the protection of the riders. Only medical related calls will be serviced.

Woodhill cemetery office will impose a strict limit of 2 family members inside the office building when making arrangements. Those entering will be required to wear a mask and a record will be kept of all visitors to be used in the event that a Township employee finds themselves to be ill.

Essential services provided by the Township will be maintained. Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Township Fire and Joint Emergency Medical Services will still respond to all emergency calls in our jurisdiction when units are available, and stand at the ready to provide mutual aid when requested. * Warren County Sheriff’s Office & Joint Emergency Medical Services are separate organizations and any future changes in service will come directly from their agencies.

Until further notice, the following closures/cancellations remain in effect:

  • Township fire stations will be closed for tours, fire inspections, public relation events and trainings.

  • The Administration office will be closed to visitors but administrative services will be provided electronically.

  • Franklin Township Parks will remain open but bathroom facilities will remain closed during this time.

  • Staff will not attend any in-person meetings.

  • All regularly scheduled Trustee meetings will still be held at the scheduled dates and times via Zoom.

  • The township will continue to monitor developments related to the coronavirus pandemic and will post updates as information becomes available.
