ROADS
The Franklin Township Road Department is responsible for all street repair and maintenance, snow removal operations, pavement markings, maintenance of right-of-way, maintenance and upkeep of all parks, grounds, and facilities.
The Road Department consists of four (4) full-time employee. During the summer months two (2) seasonal workers are added, and during the winter months, the department is expanded when cemetery employees get behind the wheel of a snowplow to help during snow emergencies.

GRANTS
Below are grants that have been awarded to the township to help fund road-related projects in the last five (5) years.
2017 Community Block Development Grant
In 2017, Franklin Township was awarded a grant in the amount of $160,000.00 to pay for resurfacing and repairs to Olive Road, Mentz Road, Harriett Avenue, Ethel Avenue and Russell Avenue.

2015 Community Block Development Grant
In 2015, Franklin Township was awarded a grant from the Warren County Commissioners in the form of a CDBG grant in the amount of $148,076.00 to assist in the repairs of Martz - Paulin Road stream bank stabilization.

Ohio Public Works Commission Grant
In 2015, Franklin Township was awarded a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission in the amount of $33,000.00 to assist in the repairs of Martz - Paulin Road stream bank stabilization.

Ohio Township Association Risk Management Authority MORE Grant
In 2015, Franklin Township was awarded a MORE grant in the amount of $498.42 to assist in the purchase of traffic cones. The MORE grant program is designed to assist OTARMA members in financing risk management initiatives to reduce or eliminate risk exposure leading to liability and property claims.

2020 Community Block Development Grant
In 2020, Franklin Township was awarded a grant from the Warren County Commissioners in the form of a CDBG grant in the amount of $87,600.00 to assist in the repacking and/or repairs on Joseph Dr, Hill Ave, Catskill Dr, Maple Ave and Linwood Dr.
